Frances Lee went home to be with her Heavenly Father Thursday July 23, 2015. A memorial service will be held Saturday July 25th at 2:00 pm at Central Church of Christ Chapel 1401 S Monroe St, Amarillo TX. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home 4100 S. Georgia St.
She was born to Joseph Lyons and Blanche Bućek Lyons December 8, 1924 in Amarillo, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three of her brothers Joe, Jack, and Jerry.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Lee; her brother Gene Lyons; two sons: Joe and Jerry; three granddaughters: Katherine, Jennifer, and Olivia; and 4 great grandchildren: Cody, Madison, Austin, and Brooklyn.
She was an avid writer and composer and spent many years volunteering for the American Association of Suicidology. Throughout her life she wrote many letters to congressman and submitted many letters to the editor of the Amarillo Globe-News. In 2010 she published her first book, Fresh Air: God and Us. She was a fiercely strong Christian woman and a delight to all who knew her. Her memory will live on strongly within the hearts of her friends and family.
