Frances Marguerite Oles

Frances Marguerite Oles, 96, of Claude died Saturday, June 23, 2018.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Claude Church of Christ, 301 Hawkins St. Interment will be in Claude Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

Frances was born November 26, 1921 in Claude, TX to Thomas T. Oles and Emma B. Waggoner. She attended Claude ISD as an Honor Student and played in the very first band at Claude High School.

She married Leo Oles on July 5, 1940 in Clarendon, TX and together, they were lifelong partners on the farm. Frances was a wonderful mother, homemaker, an avid reader, and enjoyed being with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Emma; and 6 siblings, Cecil Waggoner, Bryan Waggoner, Noel Waggoner, Mary Ella Warren, Thomas T. Waggoner, and Fred L. Waggoner.

Frances is survived by her children, Lea Clement of Columbia, SC, Shirley Dalluge of Tulia, TX and James Oles of Claude, TX; 5 grandchildren, Jim Oles, Sherese Taylor, Leigh Anne Chapple, Lee Oles, and Lindsey Neff; and 11 great-grandchildren, Kyler Oles, Dee Oles, Lane Oles, Caleb Chapple, Cooper Oles, Clayton Neff, Jarrett Chapple, Brady Neff, Owen Oles, Elody Oles, and Kyler Neff.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to High Plains Children’s Home, 11461 S. Western St., Amarillo, TX 79118, BSA Hospice of the Southwest, 5211 SW 9th Ave, Ste 100, Amarillo, TX 79106 or your favorite charity.
