Francisco “Frankie” Leal, 42, of Amarillo died Wednesday, September 12, 2012, in Amarillo.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 17, 2012, in Kingswood United Methodist Church with Dr. Brad Reeves officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Mr. Leal was born January 4, 1970 in Amarillo, Texas to Francisco and Rachel Leal. In 1988, he graduated from Caprock High School and graduated from West Texas A&M University in 1995 with a degree in Respiratory Therapy. He also worked as a registered nurse.
Frankie married Karen Keenan on October 21, 1995. Mr. Leal was employed by BSA Hospital as a registered nurse and respiratory therapist. He was loved and respected by his coworkers. Serving others was part of Frankie’s nature. He was very caring and compassionate toward his patients and everyone he came in contact with in his life.
Frankie enjoyed playing the acoustical guitar. He excelled at photography and took many family photos for family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Survivors include his wife, Karen; a daughter, Téa; his parents, Francisco, Sr. and Rachel; seven sisters, Griselle Shultz and husband Lee, Sophie Trinidad and husband Felipe, Uvy Leal; Vanessa Madrid and husband Pete, Telvi Leal, Sandra Garcia, and Lisa Cole and husband, Ivan; and many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins who all loved him dearly.
