Frank 'Mac' E. McGonagill IV

Frank ‘Mac’ Ellis McGonagill IV, 33, of Amarillo, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 in Amarillo.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Clay Brown officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Mac was born on August 27, 1983 in Denver, Colorado to Frank E. McGonagill, III and Shayne Curtis McGonagill. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 2002. Mac loved going to Europe and taking cruises. He also enjoyed hunting and spending time with his friends. He was a history buff and had a special interest in the history of Rome. Mac was an independent oil and gas landman. He was a quiet, fun, personable, and considerate young man who developed many friendships and was loved by many. He loved spending time with family, especially holidays, vacations in the mountains, and family cookouts.
Survivors include his mother, Shayne McGonagill of Amarillo; his father Frank E. McGonagill III and wife Georgia of Miramar Beach, FL; one sister, Megan McGonagill of Franklin, TN; his grandfather, George L. Curtis of Amarillo; three aunts, Stacey Curtis of Amarillo, Paige Biggs and husband Tony of Amarillo, and Nancy McGonagill of Houston; and one uncle, Tim Curtis and wife Laurie of Kingswood, TX. He also is survived by cousins, Luke Curtis, Juliana Wagner and husband Hunter, and Maggie, Jack, and Janie Biggs.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2525 Wimberly Rd., Amarillo 79109.
