Frankie Scivally, 98, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018 in Dallas, TX.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 7, 2018 in the Llano Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St., Amarillo, TX.
Frankie was born January 2, 1920 in Altus, OK to George and Rosie O’Rear. She was the youngest of fourteen children.
Frankie graduated from Humphrey High School and received her B.S. degree from North Texas State Teacher's College (now U.N.T.) in Denton, TX. She taught home economics at Marietta, OK and then at Gould, OK. She married Tom Scivally on June 6, 1946 and they had two daughters, Susan and Mary Margaret.
Tom and Frankie moved to Amarillo in 1956 where they raised their family and were actively involved in Trinity Baptist Church. Frankie was a homemaker who was always involved in her children's and church's activities and in meeting the needs of others. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed many family vacations where she worked hard so that others could relax and enjoy the trip. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and devoted friend.
Survivors include children, Susan and Charles McLeod, Mary Margaret and Bruce Browder; grandchildren, Matthew McLeod and Tiffany Gates, Molly Kane, Christine, Jennifer, Ryan and Cami Browder; great grandchildren, Lilou and Zade Kane, and Axton McLeod, and a large extended family.
