Freddie DeVoin Kelley

August 6, 1937 — September 6, 2009

Freddie was born in Wolf City, Texas.  He served in the US marine Corp.  He married Marjorie Henry on September 21, 1996.  After his military service he farmed in Dalhart and owned his own Bordens distributorship, where he was a route man and salesman and then at Affiliated Foods as a truck driver before retiring after 16 years on November 28, 2008.   After retirement his grandchildren became his profession.  He was better known as “Papa”.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, TJ Womble in 2005 and by wife, Jean and then his wife, Linda.
Freddie is survived by his wife Marjorie; Four daughters, Pamela Jean of Iowa, Barbara Renee Gustin of Odessa, TX, Mary Pat Proffitt and Elizabeth Ann Duckworth of Amarillo; 5 Sons, Weldon Wayne Kelley and wife Becky of Rock Springs, WY, Jason Boyd Kelley and wife Debbie and John Wesley Womble and Wife Denise of Amarillo, Dewayne Devoin Kelley and wife Jamie of Abilene and James Scott Womble and wife Lyla of Dalhart; One Brother David Kelley of New Caney, TX; 20 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchildren.
