SERVICE: Funeral Service will be at 2:00pm Monday, April 18, 2011 at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel with Mr. Lynn Ray Smith of Lockney, Texas officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.BIOGRAPHY:Freddie was born on September 8, 1935 in Paris, Texas to Luther and Eunice Covington. She started work with Southwestern Bell at the age of 17 as a telephone operator.  As the years went by, she worked her way to service observer and finally to financial clerk.  She retired in 1988 after 34 years of service. On March 4, 1954 she married the love of her life, Roy Phillips.  They celebrated their fifty seven year anniversary last month.   Freddie liked to sew, needle point, cross stitch, and work puzzles but her favorite pastime passion was her family.  She was devoted to her husband, daughter and granddaughters.  She took great pride in her cooking and delighted in the holidays.  She had a servant’s heart and cared for friends and family alike. Freddie was a member of Fairlane Church of Christ.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Sue Schones. The family will receive visitors from 3:00pm to 5:00pm Sunday afternoon April 17, 2011 at Schooler Funeral Home.SURVIVORS: Husband, Roy Phillips of Amarillo; Daughter, Terry and husband Corky Parker of Amarillo; two sisters, Bobbie Brazile and husband Charles of Siloam Springs, AR and Dixie Wetzel and husband Don of Burkburnett, Texas; her two granddaughters Kerby and Kally Parker; her niece Roxie Schones-Pace of Bulverde, and four nephews, Rick Brazile of Bentonville, AR, Jerry Brazile of Siloam Springs, AR, Russel Wetzel and Randy Wetzel both of Burkburnett, TX
