Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 29 in the Brentwood Chapel of Schooler Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Fox officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Mr. Atchison was born in Pratt, Kansas. He has lived in Amarillo since 1980. He was a self-employed house mover. He married Laurie Ann Randall in 2004 in Amarillo.
He was preceded in death by his sister Shirley Atchison and his father Elvis Atchison.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Chris Lapel, Marlene Ruggles and Heather Atchison all of Amarillo; one son, Gale Douglas Atchison II of Medicine Lodge, KS; three Sisters, Joyce Zeplin, Margaret Higby and Kathleen Monahan and his mother, Laverna Atchison.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Paramount Baptist Church, 3801 S. Western, Amarillo, Tx 79109
