Gary Wayne Dement age 54 of Amarillo died May 13, 2015 in Amarillo.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at Westminster Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Dr. Clay Brown will officiate. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Gary was born June 1, 1960 in Amarillo. He attended Amarillo High School and had been a long time employee of Holmes Construction.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Dement on March 21, 2013.
He is survived by his daughter, Torri Dement and his granddaughter, Trinity of Amarillo; his mother Judy Smith and her husband Barry; his two sisters, Jill Dement of Lubbock and Deborah Fischer and her husband Gary, and his nephew Grayson of Houston; his uncle Roddy Dement of Lake Tanglewood; cousins, Michele and Christine Dement of Amarillo and Allison Pumphrey of Versailles, Kentucky; and many longtime friends.
The family suggests that memorials be made to Westminster Presbyterian, 2525 Wimberly Rd, Amarillo, TX 79109 or the Presbyterian Children’s Home, 3400 Bowie St, Amarillo, TX 79109
