Genevia Alois Dunn

Genevia “Gin” Stratton Dunn 84 of Amarillo passed away July 14, 2012.
The family will receive guests Wednesday from 6-8PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home 4100 S. Georgia St.
Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday July 19, at Rosehill Cemetery in Tulia with Rev. Kevin Deckard officiating.
Genevia was born on December 20, 1927 in Swisher County, to George and Theo Stratton. She married Edward Paul Dunn on September 16, 1949. Gin retired from the State of Texas in 1983 after 36 years. She also coached girls’ junior bowling for many years. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Paul Dunn in 2004, a brother K.A. Stratton, and a sister, Janie Lee.
Gevevia is survived by her son Paul Edward Dunn and wife Marie, brother, Thomas George Stratton and grandsons, Desmon and wife Tasha, and Dexter all of Amarillo.
The family suggests memorials be made to Olivia’s Angels PO Box 950. Amarillo, Texas 79105 or Vivians Nursing Home 508 North Taylor Street, Amarillo, TX 79107.
