Georgia Ruth Rutherford age 72 of Amarillo, died May 24, 2016.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 27th at 2:00 PM a t Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel. Burial will be at Dreamland Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Georgia Ruth was born July 11, 1943 to Thelma Ruth and George Gidden of Canyon. She attended Tascosa High School. She had lots of brothers and sisters. Georgia Ruth married Ralph Jarrell “Jerry” Rutherford III of Amarillo in 1968. She loved to cross stitch for others, she volunteered for Potter County React and the food pantry. She made scarfs for the homeless and enjoyed playing bingo with her friends.
The family will receive guest tonight at the funeral home from 6 PM until 7 PM
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; her parents; a sister Denise Boatright; and a brother Skip Gidden.
Georgia Ruth is survived by her three daughters, Brandi and her husband Billy, Trish and her husband Teddy; Kimberly and her husband David all of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Casey and wife Kaisi, Renae and husband Tanner, Cassidy, Jonathan, Evan, and Corey; four loving great grandchildren; her sisters, Tish Whitfill, Donna Kitchens; and her brothers, Dwayne Gidden, Harold Joe Gidden and Rocky Gidden.
