Gerald Thomas Cook

Gerald Thomas Cook, age 81 died March 31, 2014 in Amarillo.
A memorial service will be held at Paramount Baptist Church on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. with Dr. Gil Lain officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Gerald was born July 28, 1932 in Ranger, Texas to Gilbert Manard and Ruby Ileta Cook. He served four years in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. Gerald married Barbara Jennings on November 16, 1957.
Gerald was not only devoted to his country but also to his family, Lord and his work. He loved the Lord with all his heart and served at Paramount Baptist Church for almost fifty years. He was a fifty year Mason and retired from Pantex after working there for thirty six years.
Gerald loved and was loved by his family immensely. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Carolyn Lada and by a daughter, Brenda Cook
Gerald leaves behind his wife, Barbara; two sons, Robert Cook and his wife Debi and Greg Cook and his wife Donna; his grandchildren; Amanda Cook, Marcy Cook, Casey Dominguez and husband Jason, Lauren Cook and Thomas Cook; great grandchildren, Lily and Natalie Dominguez; and his nieces Geraldine Baecke and Cindy Weis.
The family will receive visitors on Friday evening, April 4th at the Fireside Room at Paramount Baptist Church, Building A from 5:30 until 7:00 PM. Please enter through door A-6 or A-7.
