Geraldine Wester

Geraldine Wester, age 94 of Amarillo went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 10, 2010 FUNERAL SERVICES will be at 10:00 AM on October 13, 2010 at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel.  Chaplain Jeff Messer of Childer’s Place will officiate.  Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.  Mrs. Wester was born in Abilene, TX to T.D. Snider and Ethel Crawford Snider.  She married Wayne Wester on December 23, 1937 in Erick, OK.  Geraldine attended Summit Baptist Church for many years.  She enjoyed sewing and with her husband’s help made over 300 lap quilts for nursing home residents. Mrs. Wester was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne on January 3, 2007; two brothers Jack and Dwight Snider. She is lovingly survived by her two daughters, LaJuana Sharber and husband Dale of Amarillo and Brenda Woodard and her husband Scott of Benicia, California; her son, Ronnie Wester and his wife Barbara of Amarillo; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; and two brothers, Wayne Snider of Amarillo and JL Snider of Plainview The family would like to extend love and gratitude to the angels at Childers Place and Hospice Care of the Southwest. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Empty Stocking Fund, P.O. Box 2091, Amarillo, TX 79166 or their favorite charity.
