Ginger Barela

Ginger Barela, 76, of Amarillo, TX went home to be with our Lord and Savior on January 28, 2021.

Viewing will be from 12-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 4, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral, 1200 Washington. Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

She was born in Amarillo, TX on August 1, 1944 to Antonio Reynosa and Margie Flores. Ginger was raised in Amarillo, TX and had 15 brothers and sisters.  Her love for hair and make-up lead her to beauty school, where she gained a career as a beautician.

Ginger could light up a room with her smile and will always be remembered by her contagious laugh. She was loved by everyone. She was the most loving wife, mother and grams.

Ginger is proceeded in death by her parents, Antonio Reynosa and Margie Flores; her husband, Daniel; her sons, Robert and Randy; her sister, Pristinia; and her brother, Gilbert.

She is survived by her daughter, Dannette Riojas; her son Ray Barela; her grandchildren, Adam Daniel and Kristyna Navarro, Christian Riojas, Alicia and Ricky Barela, Lexi, Dax and Jackson O’Hair; her six great-grandchildren; seven brothers; and six sisters.
