Gladys Raffkind

Gladys was born December 8, 1918 in Chicago, IL to Morris and Jenny Solomon.   She married Sidney Raffkind on April 30, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri.  Together, the couple owned and operated Bargain Siddy from 1945 until 1985.  Gladys was a member of Temple B’Nai Israel.The family would like to express their gratitude to the caregivers of Ware Memorial Care Center and BSA Hospice.  She was preceded in death by her husband Sid in 2005.She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Crenshaw and husband Phil of Houston and Barbara Chelf and husband Richard of Amarillo; a sister, Millie Needelman of Omaha, NE; and four grandchildren, Todd, Brent, Kristi and Ginger. The family suggest that memorials be made to temple B’Nai Israel, 4316 Albert Avenue 79106
