Gloria Sue Pridemore

Gloria Keel Pridemore, also known as “Granny” to some and to others as “Sue Sue,” age 77, of Amarillo TX passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, in Amarillo. 

The viewing will be on Sunday, January 12, 2025,  from 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM, and the family will present to receive guests from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.  The Rev. Greg Corona of Hillside Christian Church will officiate.

A graveside service will be on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery in the East Mausoleum Chapel. 

Gloria was born in Pampa, Texas on May 18, 1947 to Sam and Dorothy Keel. She graduated from Borger High School in 1965. The family moved to Pampa, Texas and onto Amarillo, Texas in 1966. She spent many years as a Teacher's Aide at Eastridge and Western Plateau Elementary schools. In 1966, she met her husband, Shelby Pridemore, who was serving at Amarillo Air Force Base. They were married 58 years. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Dorothy Keel, and her brother, Kenneth Keel. Her loving nature, kindness towards others, compassion, and sense of humor made her such an amazing person.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Shelby Pridemore of Amarillo, TX; her daughter Kim Lee of Plano, TX; her son David Pridemore of Anna, TX; and her grandsons Jonathan Lee and Jack Pridemore both of Plano, TX.
