Guillermo "Willie" Avalos Martinez

Guillermo "Willie" Avalos Martinez went Home to be with our Lord on Friday, June 18, 2021, surrounded by family in Amarillo, Texas.

Willie was born on October 27, 1950 in Mason, Texas. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and defended his country in the Viet-Nam conflict.
He was a carpenter by trade, and enjoyed spending time with his beloved grandchildren, Addi, Kynleigh & Nathaniel.

Willie will be greatly missed & lovingly remembered by his son Willie(Erin) of Amarillo, and step-children; Cruzita, Brenda, Abram, Mark, and Naomi.
His siblings; Lorenzo(Cammie), Danny(Mary), Andy(Theresa), Abel(Zelma), Olivia, Martha and Susana(Ron), as well as 37 nieces & nephews.
Willie is preceded in death by his parents, Timoteo Juan Martinez & Margarita Avalos Martinez of Mason, as well as a brother, Cruz Miguel A. Martinez, of Lufkin, and the love of his life, Blanca Lidia Valenzuela.

Having been cremated; a memorial with military honors will be scheduled at a later date.
