Hannelore "Hanna" Krahn

Hannelore “Hanna” P. Krahn, age 83 of Amarillo died June 7, 2015 in Amarillo.
Funeral services will be graveside at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 10th at Llano Cemetery. Dr. Howard K. Batson will officiate. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are made by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:30pm on Tuesday, June 9th at Schooler Funeral Home.
Hanna was born May 29, 1932 in Heidelberg, Germany to Wilhelm Franz and Frieda Schmelter. She married her beloved James D. Krahn on August 27, 1966 in Amarillo.
She worked in retail sales for Kline’s for forty one years before retiring and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Hanna was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Willy Schmelter; a sister Kornelia Smith; and two brothers-in-law, Jack and F.H. Krahn.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jim; a sister-in-law, Henny Schmelter of Germany: a brother-in-law, R.D. Krahn of Lubbock; a nephew Bernie Horak and wife Nancy of Brookeville, Maryland; and a cousin, Carroll Krahn and wife, Irma of Dalhart.
The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or your favorite charity.
