Harley Hardwick Goettsche

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 30th, at Lake Tanglewood Community Church.  Rev. Roger Hubbard, will officiate. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.Dr. Goettsche was born on May 5, 1915 in Higgins, TX, to Charley and Winnie (Edenborough) Goettsche. He passed away peacefully on January 26, 2010 in Amarillo, TX.  He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Carl Goettsche; his sister, Juanita Woodington; and his second wife, Helen “Brandy” Bradenburger.Survivors include his wife, Ida; his daughter, Judith Wilson of Cincinnati, Ohio; his two sons, Dr. Steven Goettsche and wife, Sandy of Amarillo, TX  and David Harley Goettsche and wife, Terry of Dallas, TX; one step son, Kendall Miller of Austin, TX; and eight grandchildren and all his loving great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his first wife, Charlie May Northcutt. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Panhandle Plains Historical Museum, 2503 4th Ave., Canyon, TX 79015, or Lake Tanglewood Community Church, 106 Tanglewood, Dr., Amarillo, TX  79118.
