Harmon E. Lowe, 89, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, August 18, 2015.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3400 S Jackson, with Rev. Ken Cole and Rev. Joshua Kouri officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors provided by Volleys For Veterans. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia Street.
Harmon was born December 16, 1925 in Mart to Henry and Emma Lowe. He married Dorothy Bruce on September 10, 1949 in Mart. He farmed in Mart for many years before they moved to Amarillo. At that time he went to work for Pantex and retired after 31 years as chief photographer. He also worked for 20 years at KFDA NewsChannel 10 as film editor. Harmon enjoyed wood working, especially building cabinets. He always stayed busy.
The family would like to express their gratitude to his care givers, Debbie, Erica, Joan, and Dena.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; three daughters, Lea Lowe, Beverly Davis and spouse, Monroe, and Barbara Beck and spouse, Lindsey, all of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Michael Plumlee , Kayla Plumlee , Christopher Davis, and Sabrina Foster; a grandson-in-law, Brandon Foster; and sever nieces and nephews.
The family suggest memorials be made to the American Heart Association or a favorite charity.
Visitation will be 6-7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
