Harold Bryant age 87 died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 after battling several years of declining health.

Harold was born February 16, 1927 in Corsicana, Texas, son of Homer Jackson Bryant and Edell Denson Bryant. He graduated Corsicana High School in 1944; Honorable Discharged from the Navy in 1946; Graduated Navarro Junior College in 1948, and the University of Texas with a BS in Electrical Engineering in 1950.

After college, Harold began a life long electrical engineering carrier with Westinghouse Electric Company, ABB and his own business HBI until he retired at the age of 75. Harold was proud to service the needs of both South Western Public Service Utility Company and Excel Energy in Amarillo, Texas for over 45+ years. His most cherished carrier accomplishment came in 1976 when Chairman of the the Board RE Kirby personally presented Harold with Westinghouse’s highest honor, the “Order of Merritt”.

Harold was not only an accomplished businessman, but loving father, husband, fierce competitor, leader and sportsmen. He was an outstanding athlete in college as a quadruple threat in football, basketball, track and boxing.

In 2012, he moved to Holly Springs, North Carolina to be with his son and daughter-in-law.

Harold is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Dravin Bryant and his three brothers Earl, Clyde, and Carter.

Harold is survived by his only child Randy Bryant and his daughter-in-law Rebecca of Holly Springs, NC, his brother Wayne Bryant of Lubbock, TX, his sister Evelyn Robertson of Montevallo, AL and "Special Friends of the Family" Cheryl Cohen, Amarillo, TX and Tammy Walker, Lillington, NC.

Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am., Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia, Amarillo, TX.
