Harold was born in Tulia, Texas to Jerry and Nellie Braddock Wilhelm on September 27, 1961. He graduated from Nazareth High School and then from Amarillo College. Throughout his life he had a passion for agriculture, and farming implements and machines especially tractors. He spent his life tinkering with engines and motors of all types including his trucks. He worked for Wylie Implement and had been a Case salesman for over thirty years.
Blessed to work in a profession he loved, it paled in comparison to the love he felt and shared with his family. He married the love of his life, Faye Artho on June 7, 1985 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He and Faye had two beautiful children, Carissa and Jeremy. Harold was devoted to the family in many ways, whether volunteering for Randall County 4-H, or donating time and money to the St. Mary’s Youth; he set a wonderful example of love in action. In addition to his family, he also served the church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Team Of Our Lady (TOOLS) Group.
Harold had serious health concerns throughout his life and was a kidney transplant survivor of 29 years. In his spare time he enjoyed time with his entire family and attending the occasional Texas A&M Football game. He was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Albert Wilhelm and by his father, Jerry.
He is survived by his wife, Faye of Amarillo; his daughter Carissa Wilhelm of Lockhart, TX, his son Jeremy Conrad Wilhelm of Amarillo; his mother, Nellie Wilhelm of Nazareth; his four sisters, Christine Acker and husband Kevin of Nazareth, Margie Barlow and husband Keith of Midland, Elaine Hillin and husband Cliff of Lubbock, and Elizabeth Matos and her husband Greg of Amarillo; his five brothers, Weldon Wilhelm of Arnold, Nebraska, Frank Wilhelm of Luling, TX, Kenny Wilhelm and wife Liberty of Mt. Zion, Illinois, Wayne Wilhelm and his wife Melanie of Nazareth, TX, and Brent Wilhelm and his wife Lindsay of Nazareth; sixteen nieces and nephews and one great nephew on his family’s side and numerous other nieces, nephews and loving family members and friends.
