Helen Margaret (Judd) Wisdom

Helen Margaret (Judd) Wisdom, 97, of Amarillo peacefully passed from this life on February 22, 2024.

The family will receive guests at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S Georgia on Sunday February 25th from 4-6pm.  Funeral Services will be held at Hillside Christian Church Chapel, 6100 S. Soncy on Monday February 26th at 2pm, with Bill Miller, Mrs Wisdom's son in law, and Rev. Chris Condit co-presiding. Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery.

Helen was born on October 20th, 1926 in Wellington, TX.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a faithful Christian.  She was number 12th of 17 children.  She attended Samnorwood School and graduated from Wellington High School in 1943.  She went on to marry (57 years) the love of her life, Claude Emmett Wisdom on August 12th, 1944 and cared for him until his last breath.   They began to grow their family having 6 children.  Their home was always open to all the family and friends that wanted to come over.  They were always welcomed with open arms and a meal.  She lived such a full life living to this age that she was able to see her children grow, her grand children, her great grand children and her great great grand children.

She is survived by her daughter Elaine Loukas and husband Alek of Amarillo, her daughter in law Darla Wisdom of Grand Prairie, her daughter DeAnna Ashton and husband Glen of Amarillo, her daughter Brenda Melvyn and husband Joe of Amarillo, her daughter Carol Miller and husband Bill of Olathe KS, her daughter Tina Stephens Brofft and husband Richard of Amarillo along with 13 grand children, 20 great grand children, and 8 great great grand children.  Plus numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Claude Emmett Wisdom, son Danny Claude Wisdom, son in law David Keith Griffin, grandson Jeremy Joe Melvyn, and all of her 16 siblings.
