Henry Clifton Reed went to be with the Lord June 28, 2016. He was 76 years old. Henry was born in Nara Visa, NM on April 9th, 1940 where he grew up. He moved to Amarillo as a young man. Henry married Marcia Watts in 1961 and together they had two children Cliff and Missy. In 1965 the family moved to Arizona for 13 years. In 1978 the family moved back to Amarillo where Henry and his brother Marshall had purchased a business together. Over the next 35 years Henry owned several businesses in Amarillo. Henry was a man of few words who enjoyed attending auctions, buying and selling things, fishing and his work. He had many lifelong friends and will be missed by all that knew him.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Tillie and a sister Mary Ruth.
He is survived by Marcia Reed of Amarillo; his son Cliff Reed of Amarillo; his daughter Missy and husband Steve Irlbeck; three grandchildren Krista, Danielle, and Chance Irlbeck; a great granddaughter Creedence Crow all of Happy; his brother Marshall Reed of Logan, NM; his sister Carolyn and husband Rusty Bingham of Amarillo; his nephews Mike, Lanny, Greg and Chris; his niece Misty; and cousins Andrew, Ronnie, Carl Lee, Sissi, Stephen, Orlando, Don, Tony, Erlene and Wanda.
A private service was held. The family invites friends to come join them in a celebration of Henry's life on Saturday, July 9th at 1pm at Outlaws Supper Club in Amarillo.
The family suggest memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
