Herbert “Ray” Jones, age 84 died Thursday, March 21, 2013.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Bob Miller of CrossRoads Country Church officiating.. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia, Amarillo, Texas.
Mr. Jones was born in Stuart Oklahoma, on October 18, 1928 to Frank and Minnie Jones. Ray married LaNora on July 23, 1951. He loved fishing and garage selling. Ray enjoyed people; he never met a stranger. Mr. Jones was a member of South Georgia Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter Sharon Mooney of Amarillo, Son Garland Ray Jones and wife Shelly of Willis Point, Brother Al Jones and wife Melva of Oklahoma City, OK., 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
