Ewain Fletcher, 69, of Amarillo, passed peacefully on February 17, 2025.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 01, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Osage Baptist Church, 8425 S. Osage St., Amarillo, Texas 79118.
Ewain was born on October 23, 1955, in Portales, New Mexico, to Calvin B. and Lucy H. (Wood) Fletcher. Growing up in Portales, Ewain took an interest in agriculture and ranching, mainly focusing on cattle hauling, which he made his career. He enjoyed the open road hauling cattle from feed lots to their destinations. His career spanned over twenty years until he retired.
Ewain was quite the fisherman for all of his life. He found solace in being on one of the many lakes he and his son Corey would venture to and spend hours trying to land the “big one.” From Bass to Trout and everything in between, if it was beneath the surface of the water, Ewain wanted to catch it. He also enjoyed cooking up his catches and other food while watching Dale Earnhardt Jr. compete in every NASCAR race that was on.
Ewain is preceded in death by his mother, Lucy “Hermadine” Fletcher.
Those left to cherish his memories are his father, Calvin B. Fletcher, son Corey Fletcher and wife, Amy, and their three children; his sister, Mekala McGaha and husband Gregg; brother, Delan B. Fletcher; his beloved dogs, Bean and Tater; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
