Howard R. Leos, Sr. age 68, died on Tuesday, March 30, 2010. A Rosary will be held on Thursday, April 1st at 7:00 p.m. at Brentwood Chapel, Schooler Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Llano Cemetery Friday, April 2nd at 10:30 a.m. Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 9th, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Msgr. Joseph Tash will officiate. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.Howard was born February 25, 1942 in San Antonio, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father Leonard R. Leos, Sr. Survivors include his wife, Teresa Z. Leos of Amarillo, TX; his five children, Howard R. Leos, Jr. and wife, Elizabeth of Amarillo, TX, Hilary L. Boley and husband, Lee of Ft. Worth, TX, Harriet L. Alvarado and husband, Jimmie of Amarillo, TX, Heidi L. Deal and husband, Johnny of Amarillo, TX, and Leonard Leos III and wife, Yvonne of Burleson, TX; his mother, Antonia R. Leos; his three brothers, Leonard Leos, Jr., Omar Leos and Larry Leos all of San Antonio, TX; his nine grandchildren, Jessica Alvarado, Joshua Alvarado, Julia Alvarado and fiancé, Colton McDonald, Amber Guerrero, Linda Teresa Leos, and Alejandra Leos all of Amarillo, TX, Avery Boley and Delaney Boley of Ft. Worth, TX and Kelvin Bitner of Burleson, TX; his four great-grandchildren, Isaiah Alvarado, Gabriel Alvarado, Meah Alvarado-McDonald, and Mykaela Guerrero all of Amarillo, TX . In 1966, Howard and Teresa moved to Amarillo from San Antonio, where he began his career of 42 plus years at Pantex Plant as a Systems and Procedure Analyst and Applied Technology Specialist.Mr. Leos was a founding member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church where he was a member of the Men’s Club for over 40 years, and served as a Eucharistic Minister and Usher.Howard was a devoted family man whose favorite time was when family and friends were at his home, where there was always love and laughter. Howard loved to bowl and was a member of the American Bowling Association for many years. He was passionate about his cooking and enjoyed coaching baseball and bowling.
