Ila “Marie” Daniel, 90, of Amarillo died October 31, 2013.
Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, November 4, 2013 in Plainview Cemetery. Memorial Service will be at 2:00 PM, Monday at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel with Rev. Jim Benton officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Marie was born June 13, 1923 in Rotan, Texas. Her family moved to Plainview when she was only a toddler. She married Bob Daniel, the love of her life, on June 23, 1946. Marie had a love for her church and to watch her family play sports. She enjoyed cooking, playing bridge, golf, bowling, and sewing.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Elene Thompson, Elda Parks, Betty West, and Corene Zulauf, and a brother killed in WWII.
She is survived by her husband Bob Daniel, three sons, Bob Daniel III and wife Kym, of Amarillo, Gary Lynn Daniel and wife Cheryl of Amarillo, and Monte Joe Daniel and wife Mechelle, of Lubbock, a sister, Mary Alice Tucker, 7 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
The family suggests memorials be made to Coulter Road Baptist Church, 4108 Coulter, Amarillo, Texas 79109.
Family will receive friends from 4:00 – 5:00 pm, Sunday at the funeral home.
