Mrs. Heiskell was born Oct. 3, 1911, in Henderson County to Alonzo and Margie Mills. She married Frank Dingler in October 1929. She was a devoted wife and mother. Frank preceded her in death on March 10, 1964.
She then married Elmer Heiskell on Jan. 25, 1975. Elmer preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 1992.
Mrs. Heiskell was a Baptist.
In addition to her two husbands, she also was preceded in death by a son, Retired Brig. Gen. Walter J. Dingler; four sisters; a brother; and a great-grandson, Logan McReynolds, on Aug. 8, 2008.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Dingler McReynolds and husband David T. of Amarillo; a sister, Von Ella Broussard and husband the Rev. Charles Broussard of Orange; a sister-in-law, Lou Ellen Mills of Athens; a brother, Hayes Mills and wife Joyce of Athens; seven grandchildren, Sherrill Alles and husband Jerry of Colorado Springs, Colo., Teri Rhodes and husband Mike of McKinney, Brian Dingler and wife Jennifer of Arlington, David F. McReynolds and wife Charlotte and Thomas McReynolds, all of Houston, Pamela Tollison and husband Miles of College Station and Emily Burnsed and husband Thomas of Amarillo; thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
