Ileen McNabb Collins age 93 of Amarillo died September 29, 2011 in Amarillo.
Funeral Services will be on Monday, October 3 at 10:00 AM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel. Dr. Charlie Jones of Hollywood Community Church will officiate. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia, 4100 South Georgia.
Mrs. Collins was born on February 7, 1918 in Montague County to George and Johnnie McNabb. The family moved to Amarillo in 1921. Ileen married E.H. ‘Jimmy” Collins on August 16, 1936. Ileen was a homemaker; who devoted her entire life to the care of her family. She was a long time member of Second Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2002, a brother, James L. McNabb in 1992 and her twin sister, Pauline Pritchett in 1996.
Ileen is survived by her two sons, Al Collins of Amarillo and Cliff Collins and his wife Judy also of Amarillo; eight grandchildren, Kris Mc Galliard, Holly Bledsoe, Stacey Childress, Nelson Morton, Lisa Campbell, Jeff Collins, Kelly Howard and Tammy Collins; 21 Great-Grandchildren; 11 Great-Great Grandchildren; two nephews, Bill Pritchett and wife Jane of Ft. Worth and Johnny McNabb and wife Barbara of Amarillo; a niece Barbara Ann Stokes of Amarillo and a sister –in-law Lou McNabb of Amarillo.
