Irene Plaster

Irene was born September 1, 1926, in Turkey, Texas to John and Dora Burt.  She met and married James Plaster on Dec. 6, 1941 in Turkey, Texas.  They were longtime residents of Amarillo.  Mrs. Plaster was a homemaker whose favorite time was time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She loved music and played piano for her own enjoyment.  She and James especially enjoyed the fiddlers at Bob Wills Days in Turkey.  She will be remembered as a great mother and leaves quilts, needlework and beautiful crochet as examples of her talent.  She and her husband were members of the Cornerstone Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Plaster.Survivors include three sons, Jim Plaster and wife Cindy of Dallas, Ronnie Plaster and wife Pattie, and Rick Plaster all of Amarillo; 3 brother-in-laws and their wives; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews and cousins
