A funeral service will be held at St. Stephen United Methodist Church Thursday September 2, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Ken Cole officiating. Jack was born on November 6, 1940 to Terrell and Helen Brinkley in Redding, California. He graduated from West Texas University with a Masters in Marketing and business administration. Jack was a teacher at Amarillo College and also taught for TWUA for over 30 years. He was the casino black jack instructor with wife Shirley at Amarillo College for over 30 years. He enjoyed life as an avid collector of various items which he loved sharing with his children and grandchildren. Jack loved his out of town trips to casinos and using his experiences to teach his classes. He loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his children and grandchildren.He is preceded in death by father Terrel Reagan Brinkley, and infant daughter Tamela Kay Brinkley.He is survived by wife Shirley Brinkley; daughters Tracy Stahl and husband Tim, Kelly Jones and husband Shawn; half brother Freddy Beauchamp; mother Helen Ball; grandchildren Stephanie Stahl, Hunter Jones, Colby Jones, and Haley Jones.In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be sent to American Heart Association at 2514 82nd St., Ste B, Lubbock, Tx79423.
