Jackie Persefield

Jackie (Ma) Persefield, 83, passed away on October 24, 2019. A Life Celebration service will be at 11 a.m.

on October 29, 2019 at Schooler Funeral Home. Burial will be at Memory Gardens. Jackie was born on

May 5, 1936 in Hale Center Texas to Coy and Lena Meador. She grew up in Plainview, the baby of 12

siblings. Jackie married the love of her life and best friend Gene Persefield on September 24, 1954. They

started out as friends riding the school bus. Shortly after Gene graduated from high school they moved

to Amarillo. They have two children Nancy and Lee. Jackie spent most of her working career at

Maywood Inc. working as the shipping clerk. After Maywood closed Jackie kept children.

Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, 7 brothers and 4 sisters, her husband Gene of 49 years and 2

months, and her son-in-law Phil Daniels, whom she loved dearly.

Jackie is survived by her daughter, Nancy Daniels, and sons, Lee Persefield and Bob Hansen; grandson,

Nicholas Daniels and wife, Kesha, and great grandsons, Quinn, Silas and Wyldr; granddaughter Emily

Zarybnisky and husband Eric, and great grandchildren Claire, Tyler and Will; and grandson David Hansen

and wife, Jenni, and great grandchildren Marley, Auggie and Ezra.

There are 8 very special children who were cared for by Jackie: Holly, Presley and Allie Ridley, Brenna

Davis, Addison and Breleigh Butler, Kaitlynn Heare and Lillie Carroll.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the loving and caring staff at Ware Living Center

for the care they provided Jackie during her 14 months there. The family also wishes to express their

thankfulness to the staff of Open Heart Hospice for the end of life comfort they provided.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Amarillo SPCA, Panhandle

Humane Society or Ussery Roan Texas State Veterans Home Residents Fund.
