Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 10th, at Brentwood Chapel, Schooler Funeral Home. Mr. Glen Walton will officiate. Burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.Jackye Brown passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2010. She was born in Childress, Texas on April 11, 1931. Her family moved to Amarillo, TX, in July 4, 1945, when she was a small child. She attended Horace Mann Jr. High School and graduated from Amarillo High School. She married the love of her life, Sonny, on October 14, 1950, at Polk Street United Methodist Church, she was 19 and he was 21. Jackye was a loving, caring Christian, who cared about everyone in her life. She was the greatest mother and wife. She loved God, family, friends and life. Jackye enjoyed writing and music. She was a member of Bell Avenue Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sonny Brown; and her parents, J.B. and Wilma Henderson. Survivors include her three children, Pam Hetrick and husband, Cal of Amarillo, Jann Wallace and husband, Gary of Midland, and Shane Brown and wife, Debbie of Amarillo; her five grandchildren, Aubrey Gardner, Andrea Brown, Erica Brown, Dustin Wallace and Austin Wallace. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 9th, from 5 – 7 PM.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Westview Boys Home, Hollis, OK, 73550.
