James L. Campbell, 80, of Amarillo, died Saturday, January 10, 2015.
Memorial Service will be at 10:00 A.M., on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Washington Avenue Christian Church with Lennie McCay officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home 4100 S. Georgia St.
Jim was born on February 18, 1934 in Eagle Mills, Arkansas to John and Josephine Campbell. He was raised in Kansas City, Mo. He graduated from the Bendix Apprenticeship Program as a tool and die designer. Jim married Vicki Menefee on January 20, 1984.
Jim was a loving husband, father and Pa Sir who loved to spend time with his family, riding motorcycles and camping at the Canadian River.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Larry and Luther Campbell; and 1 sister, Edith Eckenrode.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki, of Amarillo; 5 daughters, Mara Campbell, Victoria Christopher and husband Eric, all of Amarillo, Laura Silvertooth and husband Jeff, of Lake Jackson, Rose Atchley, of Oklahoma City, OK, and Amanda Campbell D.C., of Clearwater, FL; 3 sons, James L Campbell, Jr, and wife Cathy of St. Louis Park MN, Jon Campbell and wife Terrie and Travis Campbell, all of Amarillo; 2 sisters, Helen Stafford, of Shawnee Mission, KS and Phyllis Caughron and husband Jack, of Hale MO; and 7 grandchildren.
