James Kirk Dougless

Funeral Services will be on Monday, April 12th at 11:00 AM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Chaplain Ken Haney will officiate.  Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.James was born on January 11, 1952 in Graham to James and Tampa Kenner Dougless. He attended Pampa Public School before enlisting in the United States Navy during Vietnam.  He was honorably discharged after his tour of duty. He married Bobbi Murrah on October 13, 1983 in Pampa.   Throughout his working career he worked as a pipe fitter and was associated in all facets of the drilling of oil and gas wells in Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico.  He was a member of Top of Texas AA and attended Bell Street Church of Christ.He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Bobbi in 2008.The family will receive visitors at the funeral home this evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PMJames is survived by his five daughters, Jennifer Diane Wilkerson of Amarillo, Tampa Jill Wardlow of Evergreen, CO, Kristi Summers Murrah of Amarillo, Nicole Summers Ray and husband Jeremy of Denver, CO, and Amanda Lynn Summers of Amarillo; his three sons, James Charles Dougless, Robert Kirk Dougless and Russell Lyn Dougless all of Amarillo; his brother, Robert S. Dougless and wife Polly of Midland, TX; Eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and two nephews.
