James Albert Kalka

James Albert Kalka was called home by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the age of 79. His faith and love in our Lord gave strength and comfort not only to him, but to us all as we know he is with Him and so many loved ones in Heaven.

Rosary will be said from 6:00 pm -7:00 pm on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel. A mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, January 7, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral at 1200 S Washington St, Amarillo, TX 79102. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by: his wife Grace; a daughter Jean Marie; parents, Sebastian and Irene Kalka; a brother, Carroll Kalka; and sister, Dolores Bellinghausen.

He is survived by his daughters: Rose Bourg and her husband Kennan of Euless, TX; Karen Papa and her husband Thomas of Leander, TX; and Cindy Harvey and her husband Bryan of McKinney, TX; and 7 grandchildren: Christopher Bourg, April Bourg, Whitney Papa, Karli Papa, Tyler Papa, Kasey Harvey, and Jake Harvey.

The family would like to thank the staff at La Dora Nursing and Rehabilitation for their loving care and kindness.
