A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 23rd in the mausoleum at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. Howard Batson of First Baptist Church will officiate. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.James “Jim” Warren Sheriff, age 59, died in the morning of April 19, 2010, after a long battle with a chronic illness. He was the son of Wanda and Jim Sheriff. Jim spent his entire life in Amarillo. He was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Tascosa High School in 1970. He was employed by Pantex for a number of years. Jim’s Christian faith, his family, and his friends were the important things in his life. He experienced a lot of joy and happiness from being a Santa Claus during Christmas season. Dressing up in his red and white Santa suit and bringing smiles and laughter to youngsters was the highlight of his year. He is survived by his son, Brian of Phoenix, Arizona and his sister, Sue McCarty of Amarillo, Texas.
