Jamie Mack Gillmore, age 45, of Amarillo, passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 30, 2025, at his home.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, February 4th, from 5:30 until 7:00 at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia. The funeral service will be Wednesday, February 5th at 10:00 AM at the Church at Quail Creek, 801 Tascosa Road. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Jamie was born in Amarillo on October 13, 1979, to his parents, Tommy Mack and Tammy Kaye Gillmore. He graduated from River Road HS. From an early age, Jamie helped his father with his construction company, Performance Construction. In 2022, with the retirement of his father, Jamie went on to own and operate the business.
Jamie was larger than life and a bit ornery; growing up, one of his favorite pastimes was aggravating his two siblings, Missy and Michael. However, he and Michael were the best of friends, and he was very protective of Missy.
On July 4, 2011, Jamie and Nicole began their adventure together, and their love and family would grow for the next fourteen years. He was an excellent partner and an ever-present Dad. He adored his family and loved hard. With a tough exterior, he occasionally demonstrated a softer side and would do anything for anybody.
He enjoyed dirt track racing and was an accomplished mechanic. Jamie cherished spending time with his family and friends and was particularly fond of his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He will forever be loved by those fortunate enough to know him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Jamie is survived by his wife, Nicole; his two daughters, Maycie Lozano and her husband Shilo and Chesney Robertson; his son Kinzler Gillmore; his parents, Tommy and Tammy Gillmore; his sister Missy Reeves and her husband Bradley; his brother, Michael Boatman-Gillmore and his wife Candice Dillard; three grandchildren, Rhett Hill, Lane Lozano and Wilder Lozano; and many loving nieces and nephews.
