Jamie Maxine Wilkie, 61, of Royse City, TX died July 2, 2020.

Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 10, 2020 in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Jamie was born July 11, 1958 in Amarillo, TX to John Thomas Wilkie, Jr. and Betty Wilkie. She grew up in Amarillo and graduated from Tascosa High School where she won various trophy’s and awards in volleyball. Jamie was a college graduate and became a Registered Nurse. She began her career with the hospital in Terrell, TX and later joined the staff at Parkland Hospital in Dallas.

Her four legged dogs were her children whom she loved dearly and spoiled them rotten. She was a daddy’s girl thru and thru and she was his “Cat Bird.” She was the proud owner of a white 1970 Mustang that her and her friends enjoyed very much. Jamie had a passion for animals and people. She was known for providing needs for those less fortunate than her. She was kind and loving to her patients to a fault. Jamie was very generous with her nieces and nephews in every way with particular focus on their educations. Jamie will be dearly missed by her mom Betty and by all.

She is preceded in death by her father; and sister, Sue.

Jamie is survived by her mother, Betty Wilkie; sisters, Jan Moore Thomas of Goldston, NC and Lou Bullis of Amarillo, TX; 5 nieces; 4 nephews; and 2 great-nieces.

The family requests donations to the SPCA in Amarillo or Dallas or to your favorite charity.
