Jan G. Clemans, 78, of Amarillo died Wednesday, July 23, 2014.
Vigil will be held 6:00 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2014 at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 25, 2014 at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Msgr. Harold Waldow officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Jan was born November 12, 1935 in Morganfield, Kentucky to W. F. Greenwell and M. Viola Rhodes. She married Truman Clemans on January 31, 1958. Jan worked at ASCO from 1979-2007 retiring as office manager after 26 years of service.
While raising her children, she was very active in the Boy Scouts of America. Jan was involved in St. Mary’s Cathedral where she served as a Stephen Minister. “Mama Clem” was hardworking, devoted to her church, family and career at ASCO. Jan lived a very full life in service to others.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathleen Tutt and husband, Mark of Odessa; her son, Joseph Clemans and wife Tamara of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Jeremy Clemans, Zachary Clemans, Ethan Clemans, Cpl. Ian Tutt, Brianna Tutt, Caytlynn Tutt and six great-grandchildren.
