Janelle Harral

Janelle was born November 13, 1936 in Amarillo to Hobart and Mryl Van Valkenburg,   and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1955.  She married Denton Harral  on August 23, 1958.  They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2008.  Janelle was a longtime member of Washington Avenue Christian Church.  She had a strong Christian faith and instilled this faith in her daughters and grandson.  Janelle was a  sweet, wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and the friends she touched along the way. She was proceeded in death by her parents and two sisters, Eleanor Cole and Elaine Brewton.  She is survived by her husband;  two daughters,  Becky Cogburn and husband Clay of Happy,  and Mary Ellen McHaney and husband Rex of Amarillo;  one grandson, Colt Cogburn,  who was the light of her life; a sister,  Joyce Nelson;  one niece and four nephews.
