Janet Rae Williams, age 71, died on August 24, 2021, in Amarillo, TX.

Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m., Friday, August 27, 2021 at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 28, 2021, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Janet Rae Williams’s life.

Janet Rae Williams is survived by her husband Johnnie Williams of Amarillo, TX, son Sean Williams and his wife Amy Williams of Lubbock, TX, and son-in-law Lance Permenter of Lubbock, TX. She had 5 grandchildren: Chasten Greeson and her husband John of Lubbock, TX, Shelbie Davis and her husband Laramie of Amarillo, TX, Kayla Rodriguez and husband John of Lubbock, TX, Drew Williams of Lubbock, TX, and Lauren Williams of Haven, KS. She had 8 great grandchildren Landon Egerton, James Rodriguez, Emma Rodriguez, Madeline Rodriguez, Julian Rodriguez, Elliana Greeson, Emmilyn Greeson, and Aiden Greeson. Sister Jo Helen Irwin and husband Terry of Harvey, LA, and sister Judy Blalack and husband Johnnie of Hobbs, NM. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Helen McMorries, of Seymour, TX; her brother James McMorries Jr of Amarillo, TX, and her daughter Shelly Permenter of Lubbock, TX.

Janet Rae Williams was born on December 27, 1949, in Stanton, TX, to parents James McMorries Sr and Helen McMorries.

Janet Rae Williams was a great family woman and a loving mother. She married Johnnie Williams on July 24, 1966, and the couple had 2 children together.

Janet Rae Williams was a God-fearing woman who was deeply involved at Kingswood Methodist Church for most of her life. She enjoyed travelling, going to the movies, playing card games, and spending as much time as she could with her husband, kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
