Janet "Susie" Sue Giffin

June 23, 1947 — August 25, 2021

Janet "Susie" Sue Giffin, 74, of Amarillo, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, in Amarillo surrounded by her family.

Services will be at 10:30am., Monday, September 20, 2021 at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St., Amarillo, TX.

Susie was born June 23, 1947, to James and Geraldine Scott in Amarillo, TX.  Susie was loved by many.  She worked as a waitress all of her adult life.  She was at The Country Barn for 19 ½ years, then Marty’s for another 19 ½ years then had a short stint at TGIFriday’s before working the last 7 ½ years at Amarillo Country Club.

Susie was a friend to all, and was loved by many.  She absolutely loved her job and her coworkers and customers adored her.  She couldn’t go anywhere without running into someone she knew.  She loved to shop and go out with her many friends.  Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her three sons: Darin Massey and wife Brenda of Amarillo; Brad Massey of Austin, TX; and Josh Giffin of Amarillo; 6 grandchildren, Nathan Massey, Collin Massey and wife Jessica, Madison Massey, Ryan Massey, McKenna Massey and Carson Massey.

Preceded in death by her parents James and Geraldine Scott; brother Steve Scott.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to BSA Hospice of the Southwest.  The family expresses a special thank you to BSA Hospice of the Southwest in Amarillo.
