Janice Katrina Goodner

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 7th at 10:00 a.m. at Paramount Baptist Church with Dr. Gil Lain officiating.  Burial will be at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday September 7th at Canadian Cemtery. Janice Goodner was born on October 5, 1947 to Walter and Violet Guthrie in Canadian, Texas. She was a graduate of Canadian High School and worked as a bookkeeper for many years. Janice enjoyed cooking and having company over for the holidays. She liked to travel and play bunco as much as she could. Janice loved spending time with her family and friends, but most of all she adored and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was loved by many and will be missed dearly. She is preceded in death by several close aunts and uncles. She is survived by daughter Katrina Short and husband Steve of Amarillo; son Gary Goodner and wife Kelly of Amarillo; sister Thoral Johnson and husband Bobby of Borger; brother Richard Guthrie of Abilene; parents Frank and Violet Guthrie; aunts Judy Warren  of Austin, Texas and June Goza of Ryan, Oklahoma; grandchildren Ashlyn Goodner, Brooklyn Goodner, Codi Goodner, and Charlotte Short all of Amarillo; and special niece and nephews.
