Janice Koetting

Janice Koetting, 77, of Groom died January 31, 2022.

Rosary will be at 5:00 P.M. Friday, February 4, 2022 at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Groom. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the church. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Janice was born September 23, 1944 in Pampa, TX to Alfonzo and Ruby Babcock. She married John Koetting on June 30, 1973 and was affectionately known to her grandkids as “Nana”. Janice always had a beautiful smile. She loved to paint and craft.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bobby Babcock and grandson, Whitt Ward.

Janice is survived her loving husband, John Koetting; daughter, Sheridan and husband Robby of Groom; two sons, Robert “Brent” Thornton and wife Natalie of Elkhart KS, William “Bruce” Thornton and wife Robbie of Andale, KS; two sisters, Cherie Koontz and husband, TJ of Amarillo and Aimee Lamberson of Panhandle; brother, Alan Babcock and wife, Martha of San Antonio; sister-in-law, Judy Babcock; eight grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
