Janice K. Rankin

Janice K. Rankin, 75, of Amarillo left this earth to be with the Lord in heaven on November 13, 2019. Her journey ended at home with her friends and family by her side after a brave battle with cancer.

Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 18, 2019 at Washington Avenue Christian Church, 3800 S. Washington St. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Janice was born August 11, 1944 in Bowie, TX to Marvin and Nadean Bell. She graduated from Slaton High School in 1962 and worked for NTS Communications as a Sales Rep., where she received the highest honor, “Sales Person of the Year”, multiple years. This truly merged her professional and personal life because she never met a stranger.

Janice’s greatest joy was her family, friends, and her dogs. She also enjoyed shopping for clothes, especially at Steinmart. She will be remembered for her perfectly matching ensembles. Everything always matched from head to toe. She was the life of the party, and even had the nickname “The Flash” because of her outgoing personality.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Scott Rankin; and daughter, Lisa Rankin Neville.

Janice is survived by her husband, Ken Rankin; sister, Prissy Sorrell; granddaughter, Bailey Neville; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
