Janice was born June 26, 1947 in Dimmit, Texas to Alvin and Rosemary Schmucker. She married James Weinheimer on February 24th, 1968. They were married 46 years upon the time of her passing.
Janice was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She loved the holy rosary and prayed it often with her children. She was an excellent cook, gardener, housekeeper and accountant and a dedicated partner with her husband. She had 12 children of her own, but always welcomed others to her home and her “table of plenty”. She lived a Christ-like life in her everyday examples of selflessness and unconditional love. Janice was a pillar of strength, endurance, faith and grace, which was most especially witnessed during her 22 year battle of multiple cancers. She welcomed challenges and never complained about her chronic suffering. Janice was a beautiful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:21. “Many are the women of proven worth, but you have excelled them all.” Proverbs 31:29
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Rosemary Schmucker, her son, Mitchell Weinheimer, her daughter-in-law, Renee Weinheimer and her grandsons, Brennan Hofmann and Blake Weinheimer.
Survivors include her husband James Weinheimer, eleven children, Nick Weinheimer of Groom, Tracy Banbury and husband Kevin of Amarillo, Laurie Hofmann and husband Mike of Amarillo, Sherrie Wood and husband Matt of Spearman, John Weinheimer of Amarillo, Eric Weinheimer of Duncan, Oklahoma, Scott Weinheimer of Amarillo, Wyatt Weinheimer and wife Jessica of San Antonio, Grant Weinheimer and fiancée Claudia of Amarillo, Hugh Weinheimer of Amarillo, Owen Weinheimer of Amarillo, brothers and sisters Bob Schmucker and wife Vicky, Dianne Beutel, Harold Schmucker and wife Allyn, Peggy Boyett and husband Ben, Marilyn Schmucker and Charles Schmucker and 23 grandchildren.
