Janis Ingland, 59, of Amarillo, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016 in Amarillo.
A Memorial Service will be at 4:00 PM Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel with Curtis Sarah officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Janis was born on August 16, 1957 in Amarillo to Gordon and LaVerta Fore. The family moved from Amarillo to Dimmitt in 1967 and Janis graduated from Dimmitt High School in 1975. She then returned to Amarillo in 1977.
Janis worked in the accounting industry until a few months ago when she became too ill to work.
She had a few passions in life, College Football and the Dallas Cowboys were two of her favorites! However she was a devoted mother and adored her precious grandchildren. Janis also was an animal lover and treasured her pets.
Janis was involved in the Elks Lodge and had served as Past Exalted Ruler of Elk Lodge #923 and was a member and supporter for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter, Courtney Ingland.
Janis is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Ingland; her grandchildren, Chloe and Calli Phommyvong; and her life partner, Mike Wilson, all of Amarillo.
