Ima Jean Lemaster age 85 of Amarillo, died January 20, 2011. Funeral Service will be held 2:00pm Monday January 24, 2011 River Road Fellowship with Pastor Chadd Edward Lemaster of New Life Baptist Church of Garnett, Kansas and Elder Lindy Sandlin of River Road Fellowship officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home 4100 S. Georgia St.Ima Jean was born to William Leland and Ella Mae Moon McMinn on April 10, 1925 in Summerfield, TX. She married John William Lemaster on June 12, 1944 in Northport, Michigan and together they had seven children. She worked in the cafeteria for the River Road Independent School District for several years . She had many talents and was an excellent cook and enjoyed making quilts that will be cherished for a life time. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who had a giving heart and will be missed. Ima Jean was a member of the Baptist faith and was very active in the River Road Senior Citizen’s Association.Preceded in death by her son, John Kenneth Lemaster; brothers, Edward McMinn, Bonner McMinn, Ralph McMinn, Royce McMinn, Glenn McMinn and Joe McMinn and two sisters, Marie McDowell, Flo Nell McMinn. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from on Sunday January 23, 2011 from 6-8pm.She is survived by her husband, John William Lemaster of the home, one daughter Barbara Jean Sandlin and husband Lindy of Amarillo, Texas; five sons, Bruce William Lemaster, Michael Glenn Lemaster, Teddy Keith Lemaster and wife Glenda, Gary Edward Lemaster and wife Gayenell, Matthew Jon Lemaster and wife Connie all of Amarillo, Texas; two sisters, LaVern Black of Amarillo, Texas, Deanna Hyatt of Plano, Texas; one brother Dwayne McMinn of Amarillo, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren; and her best friend of seventy five years Mateel Brown.
